QuintusYang X oqLiq Glasses

This design is inspired by the oqLiq logo.

Metalwork artist Quintus Yang uses construction welding techniques to reinterpret traditional fine jewelry concepts in gold and silver,

crafting the glasses frame into a piece of art.

The temple arms of the glasses are designed to intertwine like grafted branches, creating a three-dimensional quadrant.

These intersecting lines flow harmoniously, producing a poetic aesthetic.

The glasses are a microcosmic yet grand piece of installation art, existing outside of the physical realm.

First, a drill bit is used to create holes, followed by tapping techniques to craft internal threads on both the pearl and the frame.

Precision screws are then embedded into the pearls, allowing them to be securely fastened to five designated holes on the frame,

transforming the glasses into an expandable piece of jewelry.
